(TORONTO, Jan. 14, 2015) – Blue Ant Media’s commitment to developing premium, original content was recognized yesterday when it received the company’s largest ever number of nominations for the Canadian Screen Awards. The 14 nominations in the Television lifestyle and factual categories were announced in a press conference held by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.

Blue Ant Media television channel T+E received 3 nominations for Survivorman (Les Stroud Production), Scam City (Handle Productions/Zig Zag Productions), The Illegal Eater (Far Point Films), Rebel Without A Kitchen (General Purpose Pictures), Boundless (HLP Productions) and BBQ Crawl (RTR Media). Lifestyle channel Cottage Life received nominations for Colin & Justin’s Cabin Pressure (Peace Point Entertainment) and Brojects (Farmhouse Productions), both returning for second seasons this spring. Blue Ant Media’s premium, commercial-free channel HIFI series Cities in Blue (WhistleStop Productions) was nominated for Best Writing, Variety and RadX’s Cubicle to the Cage (Hemmings House Pictures) received recognition for Best Editing Factual Program.
