COTTAGE LIFE, RAID AND OFF! PARTNER TO GET CANADIANS OUTSIDE FOR A BUG-FREE SUMMER

Cottage Life’s Total Control campaign from Raid and The Get Outside Guide from OFF! take a tongue-in-cheek approach to pest control

Toronto, ON (May 11, 2015) – Insects are an unpleasant fact of life for most Canadian cottagers, but this summer Cottage Life is partnering with Raid and OFF! on two light-hearted Content Marketing Programs designed to get Canadians outside for a blissfully bug-free cottage season. Running from May 1 to July 31, 2015, each campaign boasts a primarily custom approach, bringing together humorous branded videos, custom editorial content, social amplification and UGC photo galleries supported with National broadcast and print drivers.

“This new partnership with Raid and OFF! allows us the opportunity to relate to our Cottage Life audiences about a challenge that is quintessentially Canadian – bug deterrence!” said Ryan Fuss, SVP Media Solutions, Blue Ant Media. “We are just thrilled to be working SC Johnson, PHD Toronto and BBDO Chicago on this innovating relevant brand activation to prepare Canadians for the summer months.”

In partnership with Raid, Cottage Life’s Total Control campaign will help Canadians prepare for their cottage vacations via a mix of custom, entertaining “how-to” videos, editorial lists and photo galleries, all divided into three categories of pest control: attack, control and prevent. Each piece of content, such as “The 10 most frustrating pests you’ll face in the Canadian outdoors” List, will highlight a Raid product designed to deal with the stated problem.

The Get Outside Guide will help Canadians plan more outdoor activities this summer, all thanks to OFF! brand products. Custom videos, humorous lists, feature Facebook posts and photo galleries are sure to entertain cottagers while demonstrating how OFF! products can help with outdoor protection, family entertaining and getting outside this summer.

Custom station IDs, lower thirds and brandsell will air on the Cottage Life channel, along with broadcast versions of the custom web series. The Get Outside Guide from OFF! will be featured in customized print ads driving to the programs digital hub. Ads will appear in the May, early summer and summer issues of Cottage Life Magazine. Similar to these programs, the Blue Ant Solutions team is working on delivering additional entertaining social content over the course of the Summer.
