Toronto, ON (September 14, 2015)Blue Ant International, a division of Blue Ant Media and leaders in 4K unscripted content worldwide, is bolstering its factual slate with the addition of its latest series, The Weapon Hunter, produced by Cream Productions. The six-part series was developed with U.S. partner Smithsonian Channel and is a coproduction with Smithsonian Channel Canada.

The Weapon Hunter aligns perfectly with our factual catalogue, which is packed with history, science, space programming, as well as HD and 4K natural history content,” said Solange Attwood, SVP, International, Blue Ant Media. “We are thrilled to work with Cream Productions on the worldwide distribution of this title.”

The series follows the exploits of Paul Shull as he goes on a one-man mission to find, fix and fire the antique weapons that shaped the modern world. Shull taps into a global network of history obsessed collectors who have spent decades – and small fortunes – amassing military collections that rival those found in any museum. Now, they’re opening their doors to allow Shull the once-in-a-lifetime chance to come face to face with the past.

“The Weapon Hunter is history with the gloves off and thanks to Paul’s insatiable curiosity and boundless energy, every episode packs a real punch,” said David Brady, CEO, Cream Productions. “Paul is a fantastic character who will appeal to audiences worldwide and we are delighted to be partnering with Blue Ant International on this exciting new show.”

David Brady and Kate Harrison are the Executive Producers for Cream Productions. Matthew Booi is the Series Producer. Sam Linton, Executive in Charge of Production, is overseeing the series for Blue Ant Media. David Royle, Tim Evans and Charles Poe serve as Executive Producers for Smithsonian Channel.
