Expanding catalog offers new 4K and HD titles as a result of new relationships with top tier producers such as Anaid Productions, CMJ Productions, DeFriest Project, Pyramid Productions, Spotlight Productions and Plimsoll Productions

Toronto, ON (October 3, 2016) – Blue Ant International, a division of Blue Ant Media and leaders in global content distribution, announces its largest slate of series and documentaries to date. The distributor is scaling the business with an expanded offering that is a result of a variety of new global partnerships with premium producers.
In the lead up to MIPCOM 2016, Blue Ant International and Anaid Productions have signed an exclusive deal that sees the distributor taking over the distribution of its slate of over 200 hours. Top titles from Anaid include, long running series The Liquidator (91×30’HD) and reality series, Hail Mary (11×30’HD). Building on Blue Ant International’s recent production and distribution output deal, CMJ Productions delivers more hours with the addition of Boogeymen (26×60’HD), Bad Trip (13×60’HD) and Home Made (26×60’HD).
Building on the global success of Making a Murderer, Blue Ant International has picked up Showtime’s documentary The Mind of Mark DeFriest (1×90’HD), produced by DeFriest Project. This new documentary tells the unbelievable life story of Mark DeFriest. Arrested for a minor offense, Mark has spent the last 30 years behind bars, condemned to Florida’s worst prison, as a result of multiple jailbreak attempts. He remains behind bars trying to survive a rigid and unforgiving system.
Also of note, Blue Ant International inks new distribution deals with Pyramid Productions for a raft of new content that includes two feature documentaries, The Salvation of Todd Bentley (1×90’HD) and Goalie: Life In The Crease (1×90’HD). Spotlight Productions, another new producer to Blue Ant International’s slate, provides the distributor with two long running successful food series, Good Taste: Chinese (50×30’HD) and Good Taste: South Asian (50×30’HD).
The diverse slate of programming will also include new UHD wildlife and nature hours from Plimsoll Productions. Earlier this year, Blue Ant Media and Love Nature announced a partnership with Plimsoll Productions to launch an extraordinary 4K natural history project, Camp Zambia. The two-year project is producing 50 hours of stunning 4K wildlife and nature content and the first round of programming will be included in Blue Ant International’s distribution catalogue at MIPCOM. Series delivered include The Big Dry (3×60’ 4K & HD), Guardians of the Wild (5×60’ 4K & HD), Tales from Zambia (7×60’ 4K & HD) and Africa’s Hunters (6×60’ 4K &HD).
“Our core priorities are to continue to partner with premium international content creators, which is evident by our robust and expanding slate launching at MIPCOM,” said Solange Attwood, SVP, Blue Ant International.

New HD highlights from CMJ Productions:
Boogeymen (26×60’HD) ventures to small, picturesque towns that have embraced something unusual and fascinating as their main attraction: a local monster.
