Blue Ant Media Announces Multi-Year Production And Distribution Output Deal With Blink Films At MIPTV 2017

Blink Films to produce 24 hours of 4K natural history content over two years for Love Nature, a joint venture between Blue Ant Media and Smithsonian Networks

Blue Ant International will offer this content as part of its 4K wildlife and nature catalog by 2019

Cannes, France (April 3, 2017) – Blue Ant Media, global leaders in 4K wildlife and nature content, announced from MIPTV today a two-year production and distribution output arrangement with Blink Films. The deal will see Blink Films starting production this month in South America, Hungary, Austria and South Africa to create seven new original series (24 hours) for Love Nature, a joint venture between Blue Ant Media and Smithsonian Networks.

“This exclusive output deal is an extension of our ongoing relationship with Blink Films to create premium programming for Blue Ant Media’s factual channels,” said Vanessa Case, EVP, Content, Blue Ant Media. “Our new partnership will see us adding 24 hours of new premium wildlife and nature programming to Love Nature’s library, currently the largest 4K natural history offering on the market.”

As part of this deal, Blue Ant International will add this content to its premium factual offering to buyers worldwide by 2019.
