(Los Angeles, CA – February 20, 2018) – Blue Ant Media, an international content producer, distributor and channel operator, announced today the rebrand of Omnia Media’s production arm to Blue Ant Digital Studios. The Los Angeles-based production house and studio creates premium, original short form and long form content with Omnia Media’s roster of talent and Blue Ant Media’s global reach in production, creative development and distribution. Dan Lubetkin will continue to oversee production and development as Chief Content Officer at Blue Ant Digital Studios and reports to Sam Sniderman, EVP, Production, Blue Ant Media. As part of this announcement, Facebook’s video platform, Facebook Watch, launches three of Blue Ant Digital Studios’ short form series, Grade A Kitchen, Family of Champions and Pixville Nightly. Each series, now on Facebook Watch, can be viewed on mobile, desktop and Facebook’s TV apps.
“Blue Ant Digital Studios combines the originality and innovation of Omnia Media’s digital roots with the proven production, distribution and broadcasting expertise of Blue Ant Media. With this rebrand, we are expanding our genres and interests beyond our original hyperfocus on gaming to millennial-driven, compelling content that spans unscripted to scripted, live action to animation, comedy to drama,” said Dan Lubetkin, Chief Content Officer, Blue Ant Digital Studios.
- Grade A Kitchen (5×10’) follows executive chefs as they leave their restaurant and take viewers into their own homes to prepare a meal with them. Featuring appearances by Los Angeles-based chefs Nyesha Arrington and Eric Greenspan, food-loving audiences will learn how to make their favorite chefs’ meals, just the way they prepare them in their own homes. Grade A Kitchen is executive produced by Brent Lydic.
- Family of Champions (5×10’), a co-production between Blue Ant Digital Studios and Omnia Media’s digital channel for gamers Arcade Cloud, asks parents to answer the question: “Do you understand your kid’s favorite video game?” For many, the answer is no. This short form, digital series showcases famous online gamers, such as MYSTIC7 and Jericho, as they conduct elaborate and fun tutorials for parents on how to play their kid’s favorite video game while forging new family bonds. Family of Champions is executive produced by CJ Schmidt and Brent Lydic.
- Pixville Nightly (5×10’), created by Kip Madsen & Geoff Bunch, is a parody satire series in which video game content is presented as live news footage from the fictional town of Pixville. Hosted by comedian Sammy Obeid, the series invites viewers into the city of Pixville to recap the day’s “events” through a satirical eye. Pixville Nightly is executive produced by Brent Lydic.
Blue Ant International, a transatlantic content distributor and division of Blue Ant Media, oversees the licensing and sales for Blue Ant Digital Studios. Grade A Kitchen, Family of Champions and Pixville Nightly will be added to the distributor’s digital studios library at MIPTV 2018.
