Blanksma to oversee international sales across the UK and Italy from London, UK

Gerbrig Blanksma joins Blue Ant International as SVP of International Sales and Partnerships

(London, UK – April 14, 2020) – Blue Ant International announces today the appointment of Gerbrig Blanksma to SVP, International Sales and Partnerships. In this role, Blanksma will oversee Blue Ant International’s sales across the UK and Italy as well as grow the division’s extensive library with additional premium third-party content across high impact documentaries, factual entertainment, specialist factual, scripted and kids and family genres. She will also lead sales and partnerships opportunities for UK-based, pan-regional buyers across all linear and non-linear platforms. Blanksma works from London, UK and reports to Solange Attwood, EVP, Blue Ant International (currently on maternity leave). A division of Blue Ant Media, Blue Ant International is a worldwide distributor of premium content.

Blanksma has over thirteen years experience in senior international distribution roles and was most recently Director, International Sales & Licensing, UK and EMEA at Discovery Inc., a role she had held at Scripps, prior to the acquisition of the company by Discovery Inc. Previous to that, Blanksma spent almost ten years at Off the Fence, culminating in her appointment as VP, Sales & Business Development.
