This October, T+E plans to keep viewers on the edge of their seat with three new and two returning haunting programmes set to premiere as part of the channel’s popular Creep Week lineup. This must-see TV event will include the all-new spine-tingling series Paranormal Captured (Canadian Broadcast Premiere), featuring amazing, downright scary paranormal footage captured from around the world and analyzed by a panel of experts; Paranormal Night Shift (Canadian Broadcast Premiere), which tells the chilling stories of workers who have experienced paranormal encounters during their graveyard shift; and My Paranormal Nightmare (Canadian Broadcast Premiere), where eyewitnesses recount their terrifying true stories of paranormal encounters that have haunted them since childhood. Meanwhile, Blue Ant Media is embracing hit programming as part of their primetime schedule on Makeful, with continuing seasons of popular DIY programmes that celebrate creativity, including The Great British Sewing Bee (Season 6; Canadian Broadcast Premiere), which follows 12 amateur sewers as they take on challenges and compete to be named Britain’s Best Amateur Sewer; The Repair Shop (Season 4; Canadian Broadcast Premiere), where individuals bring their much loved, but broken, family treasures to Britain’s most skilled restoration experts with the hope they can breathe new life into them, and The Great Pottery Throw Down (Season 3; Canadian Broadcast Premiere), which follows 12 passionate potters as they strive to create intricate and imaginative work to be judged by a panel of experts in the pottery world.
On Cottage Life, viewers will get a front row seat to examine the wonders of the world and it’s most recognizable landmarks. Returning series include What on Earth? (Season 6; Canadian Broadcast Premiere), which follows the world’s leading scientists, archaeologists and explorers as they examine some of the most bizarre and inexplicable imagery captured by satellites orbiting the Earth; and Unearthed (Season 4; Canadian Broadcast Premiere), a series that decodes the mysteries of the world’s most iconic structures and monuments from ancient to present day.
New to the family-friendly wildlife and nature channel, Love Nature, is the highly anticipated blue-chip natural history series Stormborn(World Broadcast Premiere), narrated by Golden Globe® Award winner Ewan McGregor. A Love Nature original commission, this three-part story-led drama captures some of the world’s most hardy animal characters across Norway, Scotland and Iceland over one dramatic breeding year. Audiences will join these animals as they race against darkness before winter begins, breeding and raising their young during a short, harsh season. The trilogy includes several instances of animal behaviour, in the rarely explored latitude of Subarctic, that have never been seen by scientists or captured on film. The series’ official trailer was unveiled earlier this month, ahead of its theatrical screening event at Jackson Wild Summit this fall.
Meanwhile, on Smithsonian Channel Canada, the all-new series The Curious Life and Death of…(Canadian premiere) explores some of the most mysterious deaths of the last century, from 90s icon Brittany Murphy to Rolling Stones founder Brian Jones and axe-murderess Lizzie Borden.
Finally, on BBC Earth, the all-new original series Animal Impossible (Canadian Broadcast Premiere) follows hosts Tim Warwood and Adam Gendle as they put well-known animal facts to the test to uncover the truth about the natural kingdom. Also new this fall, Spy in the Wild (Season 2; Canadian Broadcast Premiere) returns for a second installment.
