The show brings the pages of the Cottage Life magazine to life in a three-day event that celebrates Canadian cottage living
The Fall Cottage Life Show will offer show-goers a safe and inviting environment to enjoy live talks and demonstrations, connect with exhibitors, shop exclusive offers and plan their next cottage project
(Toronto, ON – October 25, 2020) – After a year of successfully hosting virtual shows during the pandemic, the Cottage Life Show, Canada’s largest cottage and outdoor living event, announced today its annual Fall Cottage Life Show will return to the International Centre in Mississauga from Friday, Nov. 12 to Sunday, Nov. 14 for its first live show since 2019. The three-day comeback event is expected to attract many newcomers, a direct result of the pandemic accelerating urbanites’ interest in escaping city life for a spacious retreat in the great outdoors. Attendees will reconnect with the cottage industry’s leading brands and exhibitors, shop exclusive offers for their next cottage project, and attend inspiring and educational seminars with Cottage Life magazine’s editorial team alongside several guest speakers. The Fall Cottage Life Show will run concurrently with the Seasons Christmas Show, offering guests access to both shows for the price of one admission. Tickets are available now on the Fall Cottage Life Show website. Guests will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and adhere to health and safety protocols to attend.
“After a year of hosting virtual Cottage Life Shows, we’re excited to welcome the cottage community back to our Fall Cottage Life Show and lead the way as one of the first in-person shows to return in Ontario,” says Greg McLeod, Director, Consumer Shows at Blue Ant Media. “For over 25 years, cottagers have been looking to the Cottage Life Show to find the best advice, tools and expertise to help them buy a cottage, plan their next renovation project or make the most of their time away, and this year is no different in that respect. Our team and venue staff have worked incredibly hard to ensure a safe and enjoyable return for everyone this season.”
The return of the Fall Cottage Life Show provides the opportunity for readers to connect in-person with Cottage Life magazine’s editorial team at the Cottage Life Booth and offer their thoughts and feedback on what they love and would like to see more of in the magazine. Cottage Life magazine’s editorial team will take to the Main Stage to offer their advice and expertise on a number of cottage-related topics on the minds of their readers, including cottage-country real estate and popular pastimes. Cottage Life magazine’s Editor and Cottage Life podcast host, Michelle Kelly, will discuss the joys of birding in the winter and Cottage Life magazine’s Senior Associate Editor, Alysha Vandertogt, will share her top five tips property hunters should consider when buying a cottage. Readers’ favourite Cottage Coach, Adam Holman, will also host a fun DIY project on-stage where he will demonstrate how you can make your very own mountain shelf for the cottage (it also makes a great gift for the holidays).
With the Fall Cottage Life Show under the same roof as the Seasons Christmas Show, attendees can enjoy the best of both worlds in the lead-up to the holidays. This includes enjoying a drink (or two) at the Polar Bar, where every drink ticket sold benefits the Cottage Dreams Cancer Recovery Initiative; meeting the friendly North Ridge Ranch sled dogs; and watching fun seasonal appetizer demonstrations from chef Tony Armstrong, and cheese expert and food writer, Sue Riedl. Attendees can also test out their DIY skills by signing up for a Make & Take Workshop, where they can create and take home their very own winter bird feeder, wooden snowman, candlestick homes, and much more.
