
(TORONTO, ON – November 17, 2022) Saloon Media, a Blue Ant Media company, today announced the promotion of Steve Gamester to Creative Director, Feature Docs, Co-Pros, and Limited Series. The move follows Gamester’s success developing and producing award-winning docs including 9/11 Kids and Cheating Hitler: Surviving the Holocaust and collaborating on series including Searching for Secrets, World’s Most Scenic River Journeys and Hunting Nazi Treasure.
The promotion will see Gamester build innovative content strategies and strengthen Saloon’s relationships with producers to expand the company’s factual portfolio. He will work closely with Saloon Media’s Senior Producer Elizabeth St. Philip.

Gamester is a founding partner of Saloon Media and has worked as a Broadcaster, Executive Producer, Show Runner and Development Executive for clients in Canada, the United States, and the UK. From 2005 to 2009, he was a Broadcast Executive and oversaw more than 300 hours of programming for History, National Geographic, Showcase and Global Television.
His work has been nominated for over 30 Canadian Screen Awards. 9/11 Kids won a Rogers Audience Award at Hot Docs and the CSA’s Donald Brittain Award for Best Social/Political Documentary in 2021.
