With more than 250 vendors and exhibitors under one roof, the Home + Backyard Show offers visitors a one-stop shop to find the products and services they need to invest in their home
TORONTO, ON – January 10, 2024 – The 2024 Home + Backyard Show (formerly the Home + Reno Show), presented by RE/MAX, returns to The International Centre in Mississauga from Friday, February 2 to Sunday, February 4, showcasing the latest home renovation and backyard trends. Show headliner and home renovation pioneer, Mike Holmes, will discuss “Renovating It Right”, offering valuable home improvement tips to attendees when he appears at noon on Saturday, February 3, in The Enbridge Speakers Lounge, presented by the free streaming TV channel Homeful. To help make a fresh start this year, Effy Terry (Hoarders: Canada) will appear daily in the lounge to share her top tips on how to declutter your home and create functional spaces. Tickets to the Home + Backyard Show are available now via homeandbackyardshow.com.
“The new year is the perfect time to think about upgrades to your home and backyard with new and fresh design ideas,” Sharon Donaldson, Show Director, Toronto Home Shows. “Visitors can indulge in some home decor retail therapy, meet with industry experts, listen to reno and gardening presentations, and find the products and services they need to boost the value of their property and their mood within it.”
New attractions this year include the Ask a Gardener booth, where visitors can meet with trained horticulturalists from Mississauga Master Gardeners and Etobicoke Master Gardeners, who will share gardening tips and best practices for caring for all-season plants. Another draw is the Children’s Garden, designed for all ages; the space offers a hands-on gardening experience where visitors can make a pine-cone bird feeder and learn about good vs. bad bugs. Alongside the Speakers Lounge is a Backyard Bar sampling zone where attendees can enjoy tastings of wine, cocktails and craft beer while listening to expert presentations. The popular booth, Ask An Expert, presented by RenoMark and Reno+Decor magazine, will return, giving visitors access to free 15-minute one-on-one consultations with home renovation and home design experts, such as Shaunn Lipsey. Also, the unmissable DIY Centre will return, featuring Toronto Home Show’s resident design and renovation ambassadors, HGTV Canada’s Desta Ostapyk, Jordan Spear and Mark Rason, who are ready to teach visitors the basics of using power tools, showing them simple DIY and home improvement projects to help them build the confidence they need to take on any small task.
Whether attendees are planning a custom build or looking to revamp their house, apartment, or condo, the Home + Backyard Show is a creative solutions hub that will help those looking to maximize their space. With more than 250 vendors and experts, attendees can get a head start on summer by shopping exclusive deals on BBQs, pools and spas, and connect with industry professionals to get one-on-one support for their next home or backyard project.
