The 2020 Spring Cottage Life Show Returns Thursday, March 26 to Sunday, March 29 at The International Centre in Mississauga
Special on-stage appearance and fan meet and greet by Sue Aikens, from the hit Cottage Life TV series Life Below Zero
Toronto, ON (March 10, 2020) – Prepare your summer getaway at the annual Spring Cottage Life Show, running for four days, Thursday, March 26 to Sunday, March 29 at The International Centre in Mississauga. With cottage season fast approaching, visitors will have the chance to shop from more than 600 exhibitors offering the latest in boats, docks and water toys as well as find information on builders and contractors, innovative building products and eco-friendly solutions. Attendees can also browse cottage-ready furniture, decor, food, entertaining ideas and more. This year’s show also includes a special Cottage Life TV appearance from Sue Aikens, fan-favourite from the hit BBC Studios produced series Life Below Zero, who will meet with fans and chat with Cottage Life magazine’s editor-in-chief, Michelle Kelly, about her fascinating experiences living off the grid in Alaska. New this spring is an area called Amazing Small Spaces, featuring nine fully furnished, walk-through model bunkies from numerous building companies. This newly created space offers visitors a chance to discover various bunkie options, whether they’re looking for some extra storage room at the cottage or a perfect escape for guests. Returning to the main stage this year is Cottage Coach and DIY expert, Adam Holman who will show guests how to upcycle old hockey sticks into rustic coat racks, drinks coasters and even decorative BBQ tongs. Also back this spring by popular demand is beverage sampling at the Dock Party and cooking demos on the Cottage Kitchen Stage.

- Sue Aikens, from the hit Cottage Life TV series Life Below Zero, will take the stage Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 2pm to chat with Cottage Life magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Michelle Kelly, about the challenges of living alone in remote Alaska.
- Adam Holman, Cottage Coach and DIY expert, shows guests how to upcycle old hockey sticks into rustic coat racks, drinks coasters and BBQ tongs.
- Angela Jones from Lakeshore Designs forecasts the latest design trends for your cottage.
- Leslie Garrett, author and environmental expert, hosts a trivia game show and gives away prizes to audience members who can answer questions on how climate change is affecting cottage country.
- Rob Davis – Founder of EcoEthic Inc.,a family business dedicated to delivering technologies that conserve water resources, educates guests on how to protect and care for your cottage septic systems this summer.

The Cottage Life Booth: Meet and Greets – Life Below Zero fan-favourite, Sue Aikens, will be on hand Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 3pm to take pictures and chat with fans. Cottage Life fans will also get the opportunity to chat with Cottage Life magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Michelle Kelly and the rest of the editorial team at the flagship booth. (Hall 2)
Life Below Zero: Canada Lounge – Celebrating the all new series Life Below Zero: Canada, airing Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT, the Spring Cottage Life Show invites guests to chill out, relax and watch never-before-seen episodes from Cottage Life TV’s latest series. Life Below Zero Canada follows the rugged day-to-day trials of Canadians living in the remote north.
Amazing Small Spaces – Attendees will have a chance to walk through nine beautiful, fully furnished model bunkies from a variety of exhibitors. Decorated by Lakeshore Designs, these bunkies offer visitors a chance to find the perfect small space to suit their needs, whether they’re looking for extra storage room or a hideaway retreat. Builders will be available on site to talk to visitors about their bunkie projects.
The Great Outdoors: The experts at Wild Ontario will stop by with some magnificent birds of prey, from owls to falcons and more. Wild Ontario will be on hand to answer questions about local wild birds. A nature lover’s paradise! Plus, kids and families will get the chance to burn some energy on a 20-foot rock climbing wall.
The Dock Party – The always-popular Cottage Life Dock Party is the social hub of the show, proudly serving Muskoka Brewery craft beer, Walter All-Natural Caesar Mix and Georgian Bay Spirit. Kick back, relax and enjoy a few beverages while supporting a good cause, with all drinks ticket sales benefiting the Cottage Dreams Cancer Recovery Initiative. This charity, based in the heart of cottage country, places cancer survivors and their families in donated cottages for a week of rest and recovery. (Hall 2)
Cottage Workshop: Pump House – This year, show-goers will be treated to a cottage-inspired workshop with veteran Cottage Life carpenter extraordinaire, Wayne Lennox, who will give audiences a walk through on how to build a pump house. All lumber will be supplied by Home Hardware and visitors will be able to enter their names for a chance to win the finished product. (Hall 5)
Cottage Kitchen Stage – The Cottage Kitchen brings tasty outdoor entertaining ideas with daily cooking demonstrations and free samples. Cottage Life resident cook Tony Armstrong is back this year to whip up delicious appetizers. Outdoor Canada magazine editor, Scott Gardner, will be taking guests through how to fillet and cook your cottage catch this summer. Tonia Wilson, a certified sommelier and chef, will take visitors through a tasting session on how to pair spring beers with tasty appetizers. (Hall 5)
Landscape Artist of the Year Canada Gallery – The Spring Cottage Life Show will present attendees with a gallery of cottage country inspired paintings of Lake Rosseau, created by finalists from Makeful TV’s original series, Landscape Artist of the Year Canada. Landscape Artist of the Year Canada will air Thursdays at 8p.m. ET / 5p.m. PT, beginning March 12 on Cottage Life TV.
Cottage Games – Show-goers needing a fun break from the aisles will love the games area, complete with interactive, kid-friendly games including a giant Four In A Row, a Tumbling Tower and washer and bean bag tosses. (Hall 5)
