Blue Ant International Announces New Pre-Sales Ahead of Realscreen 2018 and Solange Attwood’s Promotion to Executive Vice President, International

Toronto, ON (January 25, 2018)Blue Ant International, a transatlantic content distributor and division of Blue Ant Media, announced today that it has pre-sold two new lifestyle series Crazy Beautiful Weddings (10×30’HD) and Best Cake Wins (10×30’HD) from its factual entertainment offering. As the distributor continues expand its roster of clients and premium catalog in 2018,  Solange Attwood has been promoted to Executive Vice President, International, Blue Ant Media and will report to Michael MacMillan, CEO, Blue Ant Media.

Crazy Beautiful Weddings (10×30’HD) – a Blue Ant Media Original Production, has been pre-sold to US-based cable channel UP TV. The series follows wedding planner extraordinaire, Lynzie Kent, as she takes inspiration from a couple’s love story and creates unique and jaw-dropping celebrations. Currently in production, Crazy Beautiful Weddings will be available at MIPTV 2018.

Best Cake Wins (10×30’HD), created by Toronto-based content production company, Architect Films has been pre-sold to BYUtv after its greenlight announcement before MIPCOM 2017. Best Cake Wins is a fun and friendly baking competition series that, each week, sees two cake-makers battle it out in an attempt to make one child’s most awesome birthday cake imaginable a reality.

In her new role as Executive Vice-President, International, Blue Ant Media, Solange Attwood will continue to oversee the strategic direction of Blue Ant Media’s international distribution arm. Her portfolio includes spearheading co-productions for the international sales group, pre-sales and worldwide sales activities, while overseeing the business’ ongoing expansion and sales offices in London (UK) and Toronto (Canada). Under her leadership, Attwood has built the division organically as a leader in premium content distribution with over 3,200 hours of award-winning factual, factual entertainment, kids and family, lifestyle, reality, documentary series and high impact docs.
