Love Nature 4K launches on Ooredoo’s new UHD linear service in Qatar; Love Nature and ZooMoo land in Nigeria on MyTV in HD

(London, UK – March 19, 2018) – Blue Ant Media, an international content producer, distributor and channel operator, announced today its Kids & Global Networks division launch in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) via new carriage deals for premium wildlife and nature channels including: Love Nature a family-friendly natural history offering with the largest 4K wildlife and nature library in the world and joint venture with Smithsonian Networks; and ZooMoo a children’s nature HD linear channel and joint venture with AT&T. To support Blue Ant Media’s debut in the market, Chiara McKee has been appointed VP, EMEA, Kids & Global Networks and will lead the company’s EMEA channel distribution sales, operations and marketing from the company’s London (UK) office. McKee reports to Ward Platt, CEO, Kids & Global Networks.
As part its EMEA launch, Love Nature’s 4K channel has landed on Ooredoo TV’s UHD linear service in Qatar, bringing audiences across the region access to the brand’s celebrated original programming that brings nature fans closer to the beauty and wonder of nature, sharing awe-inspiring stories and shining a light on the fight for survival in an ever-changing world. A next-generation television service in Qatar, Ooredoo TV offers subscribers 4K resolution and programming, time shift, parental control and thousands of hours of content on its 4K VOD service.
Love Nature and ZooMoo, a children’s nature broadcaster with 500 hours of original content combining spectacular wildlife footage with puppetry, animation and narration for the Kids 2-7 category, have also landed in Nigeria via television provider MyTV. The English-speaking service is comprised of a unique mix of Nigerian and international channels focusing on African content.
In her role as VP, EMEA, Kids & Global Networks, Chiara McKee will oversee channel distribution sales, operations and marketing across Europe, Middle East and Africa for Love Nature 4K, Love Nature HD, ZooMoo (HD) and the animated and live action YouTube gaming channel with 250 million+ views, Arcade Cloud. McKee was previously Director, Love Nature International where she led marketing and brand partnerships for Love Nature’s international linear channels and streaming video platform (outside of Canada). Previous leadership roles also include Director, International Marketing and Operations for Trace TV and Senior Marketing Manager, Branded OTT Services for NBC Universal. McKee will join Blue Ant Media at MIPTV 2018.
