(Los Angeles – May 15, 2019) – Blue Ant Media continues to grow its content offering with the acquisition of the Jelly Jamm business. The deal includes two seasons of the animated kids’ series Jelly Jamm (78×11’ each; HD), 13 original songs, 17 original characters, social media platforms, and all licensing and merchandising rights. Blue Ant Media will explore the possibility of further expanding the Jelly Jamm content offerings. Blue Ant International will oversee the series’ distribution opportunities in all regions. Blue Ant Media is an international content producer, distributor, and channel operator.
“Blue Ant Media continues to grow its offering in both the kids’ arena and the marketplace,” says Ward Platt, CEO, Global Networks & Kids, Blue Ant Media. “The Jelly Jamm acquisition aligns perfectly with our goal of offering quality and creatively-driven content.”
Each eleven-minute episode of this animated series, aimed at kids aged four to seven, celebrates music, fun, and friendship. The show tells the story of Bello and his four friends as they figure out how to live in harmony on the magical Planet Jammbo, where all the music in the universe originates from.
The series currently airs on ZooMoo Network’s linear channels across Asia, LATAM, EMEA, US Hispanic, Brazil, and Australia. ZooMoo Networks is the interactive pre-school children’s nature broadcaster owned by Blue Ant Media.
Vodka Capital created Jelly Jamm in 2009 with David Cantolla, Carlos L. Del Rey and Víctor M. Lopez, the creators of the famous Spanish animated series Pocoyo. Luis Gallego and Javier Ledesma directed Jelly Jamm’s first two seasons. Four-time Emmy nominee Kevin Strader served as head of writing. Music for the show was composed by Guille Milkyway, and produced by indie label Elephant Records.
