Toronto, Canada (September 13, 2017) – Blue Ant Plus, a social content studio bringing stories to life for brand marketers and agencies has teamed up with Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana, a world-leading international producer and distributor of children’s animated content, to create and execute a digital content strategy for its original animated action series, Mysticons. Leading up to the launch of Mysticons on YTV in Canada and Nickelodeon in the U.S., Blue Ant Plus has rolled out a unique digital-first content strategy that will drive linear TV ratings and merchandise sales for the series and expand the show offering into a 360-degree immersive experience. Mysticons airs Sundays at 11 a.m. ET/PT on YTV.
“Blue Ant Plus’ tool kit for creating immersive content for social media has proven to be a great fit for Mysticons’ goal to engage with kids across North America on social media,” said Mitch Dent, SVP, Media Sales & Blue Ant Plus, Blue Ant Media. “From digital art installations to original web-series to DIY YouTube tutorials, our talented group of creatives takes online engagement to the next level with impactful content creation paired with customized, and cost-effective, digital amplification.”
As part of the program, Blue Ant Plus created and produced short-form, live-action video content for the Mysticons YouTube channel, created for kids aged 6-11. Included in the campaign is a series of videos featuring a chalk street artist designing large-scale Mysticon art installations; the ‘Becoming a Mysticon’ series of YouTube short videos that take young viewers through costume tutorials, hair-spiration, face-painting and training moves; and DIY videos demonstrating how to make Mysticons-themed items such as bath bombs and fidget spinners. Blue Ant Plus used its in-house studio to produce the majority of the live-action content and packaged the videos with Mysticons animated clips.
Blue Ant Plus uses its best-in-class social media marketing team to amplify brand stories and draws on Blue Ant Media’s in-house resources including a full video studio, production professionals, state-of- the-art cameras and edit suites. The social content studio operates separately, but in partnership, with Blue Ant Media’s existing Media Sales arm, which offers clients seamless integration with the company’s roster of passion brands, including Cottage Life, Makeful and T+E. blueantplus.com.
