French broadcasters Mediawan Thematics, Ushuaia TV (TF1 Group), France TV, ARTE, and RMC Decouverte have acquired a variety of programming from Blue Ant International including premium nature & wildlife content and high-impact documentaries. A division of Blue Ant Media, Blue Ant International is a worldwide distributor of premium content.

Mediawan Thematics, the independent European audiovisual content platform, has licensed 400 hours of renewed and exclusive new premium 4K natural history titles from Blue Ant International for its Ultra Nature, Animaux and Science Vie channel brands. Selections include Into
Blue Ant International also secured a sale of over 20 hours of natural & wildlife content to Ushuaia TV (TF1 Group). The deal includes Animal Empires (6×60’; HD; Arcadia Entertainment), a journey to the beautiful and dangerous places that play host to wildlife’s migrations and congregations and Extreme Africa (6×60’; HD) from global factual entertainment producer, Off the Fence. The broadcaster also opted for titles from Blink Films, picking up Secret Life of The Wombat (2×60’; HD), Secret Life of The Kangaroo (3×60’; HD), Secret Life of The Koala (2×60’; HD), and Secret Life of The Tasmanian Devil (2×60’; HD), all of which follow Australia’s most iconic creatures to uncover the land they call home and the challenges they face to adapt to their ever-changing environment.
Opting for titles from Plimsoll Productions, France TV acquired seven hours of content including The Monkey Diaries (1×60’; HD) which visits an ancient city reclaimed by Sri Lanka’s forests and the toque macaques monkeys that live in it. Life’s Journey (2×60’; HD) is a series that follows a colourful array of animal species as they are born, mature and have families of their own. Wild Survivors (1×60’; HD) explores the relationship between animal and environment, and the various ways each impacts the other’s survival; and Valley Of Flood And Fire (3×60’; HD), which shows the extreme seasonal changes that shape the Valley of Flood and Fire and the animals that call it home.
Additionally, French/German broadcaster ARTE picked up Rooted (5×60’; HD; Taglicht Media), a series that reveals five of Southern Africa’s most iconic trees and the unique repertoire of animals, insects, birds and environmental elements that have created their own roots, in and around these majestic shelters; and Blue Ant Media original production Alaskan Summer (1×60’; HD), an Alaskan journey that reveals the vibrance and majesty of the US’ most northern state.
Meanwhile, RMC Decouverte licensed The First World War: The People’s Story (3×60’; HD; Testimony Films), a three-part docu-series commissioned by BBC that draws on an archive of two hundred interviews with the last survivors of the Great War, from the battlefields and the home front.
