(Toronto, ON – February 1, 2021) – This month, fur will fly as Makeful TV brings the Australian competitive pet grooming series, Pooch Perfect (8×60’), to dog lovers nationwide. Hosted by award-winning actress and former dog handler, Rebel Wilson, alongside her four-legged fluffy co-host, Russell the Brussel, the series features 10 professional stylists and their perfectly pampered pooches as they battle it out to be crowned Top Dog. Each week, the groomers will face a new makeover challenge bringing their creative transformations to the ‘Dog Walk’ runway where a panel of the industry’s top judges will decide who stays, who gets eliminated and who will win the top prize of $100,000. The Canadian broadcast premiere of Pooch Perfect airs Tuesday, February 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Makeful TV, during the channel’s eight-week nationwide free preview event running from February 1 to April 4 across 8.1 million Canadian households.

With over five million dogs in Australia, there are no shortage of furry family members that could use a makeover. Each pet styling team will take a scruffy mutt and give them a marvelous new look. The teams will parade their pooch transformations down the ‘Dog Walk’ before reuniting the dogs with their loving families. The bottom three styling teams will battle it out in a rescue dog elimination round, giving newly housed dogs a look worthy of the home they’ve just found.
- Episode 2 – Shapes / Sizes
February 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
This week’s challenge is all about shapes. Big breeds, little breeds, cute breeds, funny breeds; the dog world is full of every imaginable shape and size. The pet styling teams will each have to pick a kennel door to discover if they have a small, medium or large dog to groom. There are varying challenges associated with having a different sized dog. For the team with the large dog, they may struggle with size while the team with the smallest dog may struggle to impress.
